Identification

  • Small-medium sized solitary species (9-12mm)
  • Spring flight period, March - May
  • Thorax with light brown hairs on top and grey-brown hairs on the sides
  • Abdomen generally dark, rear legs of female with orange-yellow hairs
  • Males smaller and slimmer than females, with greyer hairs

Habitat

Poorly known. Known habitats include upland woodland edges and heathland margins.
