Nests are constructed solitarily in dead wood, reportedly using old beetle burrows. Several cells will be constructed within the burrow, which will be deposited with various aphid species. The female will lay an egg in each cell, from which a larva will emerge soon after and feed on the aphids before emerging as an adult the following year.
