Species Biology

Identification

Between 5.5mm and 8mm in length. Adult is red with seven black spots.  The scutellum is bordered by small white triangles. The pronotum is black with squarish white marks on the leading edge. Legs are black. 

Preferred environment

A common and widespread species and can be found through a range of different habitats. 

The species is commonly found in gardens. 

Diet

Feeds on aphids.
