Identification

Adult: 4.5mm to 6mm in length. The body is bright orange with 16 cream-coloured spots, with an almost transparent rim around the edge of the elytra. The pronotum is also bright orange with cream edges at the front and back. The legs are orange. 

Diet

Feeds on mildew, leaves of deciduous trees, honeydew and small aphids
