Identification
The only shieldbug that is hairy all over. The adults are purple and green with white banding on black antennae.
Habitat
Dry warm sites, including herb rich grassland, grassy bases of hedgerows and amongst low shrubs.
Life cycle
Adults seen throughout the year except July. Nymphs occur from June to September.

Occurs in the southern half of Ireland.
