Identification
This species has a distinctive shape. Individuals are a uniform grey or brown colour, but may have some pink markings. Many individuals show two white spots on the anterior margin of the scutellum.
Habitat
Found in a wide range of semi-natural grassland and grassy hedge banks.
Life cycle
Adults are seen throughout the year except July. Nymphs are found from May to August.

Irish distribution
Historically this species was known from the southern half of Ireland but seems to be expanding its range northward.
