Identification
Large brown shieldbug with very pointed, thorn-like, shoulders. Has a yellow tip to its scutellum.
Habitat
Sites with long lush vegetation, especially bogs and other wetlands, woodland edge and hedgerows.
Life cycle
Adults may be found from July to November. Nymphs occur from May to August.
Similar species
The very pointed shoulders distinguishes this species from Forest and Bronze Shieldbugs.
