- Abdomen with black, yellow and red stripes
- Can be confused with N. panzeri, N. ruficornis
Habitat
Associated with woodlands but found in a other habitats where Willow is present (e.g. coastal sites with Salix repens) along with its host Andrena clarkella.

March-June
Nesting biology
Cleptoparasite. Breeds in nests of Andrena clarkella, A. apicata
Flowers visited
Feeds mainly on Willow, but also visits Dandelion, Blaeberry
