Identification
- Small-medium sized solitary species (6-9mm)
- Abdomen mainly red and black but can have small areas of yellow.
- Females and males have a flat-topped ridge between the antennae
- Males are generally smaller than females
Habitat
Not common, most known records are from wooded sites.

June-August
Nesting biology
Cleptoparasite. Breeds in nests of Andrena coitana, A. tarsata
