Identification

Adult: 4mm to 5mm in length. Body is typically red with two black streaks running down the elytra and two large black spots towards the rear. The scutellary spot extends down the elytra. However, the ground colouration and pattern of the markings on the elytra can be very variable.  The pronotum is black with white rectangles front edges. The legs are black.
