Identification

Adult: 6mm to 8mm in length. Body is orange brown with 13 place cream streaks and spots. The scutellum is cream-coloured and bordered by small cream triangles. The pronotum is largely white or cream with an orange-brown central band, often bordered by darker bands.  The legs are brown.

Feeds on aphids

Habitat

Is associated with old coniferous woodland, particularly where there are mature Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris)
