Identification
A very distinctive yellow segment near the tip of its antennae is diagnostic. It is otherwise a grey-brown shieldbug with a shiny, metallic appearance.
Habitat
Lives in trees of all kinds where it predates larvae of moths and beetles. It is usually encountered singly.
Life cycle
Adults may be seen throughout the year except July. Nymphs occur from June to September.
